Virginia is such a geographically diverse state. While I live near the beach, drive west for a few hours and the flatland gives way to rolling hills of romantic countryside. Continue further, and those hills break into the tree-covered mountains. Charlottesville is nestled before those mountains. And, in that area, I find so much inspiration and rejuvenation. I often camp out there with Dakota. You can see our adventures here. Needless to say, it's a popular destination for weddings. And, a recent shoot there has been published on Wedding Sparrow.
Luciana's vision for this shoot included custom illustrations. And rather than creating a map of wedding events, as you often see on invitations, I created a map that told the couple's story: where they met, where they were engaged, and where they would be married. Coupled with beautifully textured paper, hand made envelope, and custom calligraphy, this suite stuns with elegant, romantic charm.
I love photographs, but I so wish you could feel the texture of the blue envelope. It is so soft and airy and beautiful. Just like the light on the mountains in the photo below.
The venue, veritas winery was the perfect backdrop for this elegant romance. The florals and table setting interpolated perfectly with the other details. The whole shoot seems so effortlessly elegant. But each detail was curated and executed by a talented team of vendors. Shannon is so skilled behind the lens.
One of my favorite little details is the contemporary flatware. Another, the beautifully flowing silk in the center of the table. This shoot has so many dreamy details. Be sure to check out the rest on Wedding Sparrow.
And, in case you missed it, see the boudoir segment of this shoot, also featured on Wedding Sparrow.
