This Wild Love inspiration shoot has so much beauty in it. I gave Brandi my original concept, and she pushed me to go further. I think she used the words "glam it up" and I kind of ran with it. A custom charcoal drawing, thin wood veneer for the invitation stock, handmade paper envelopes, copper ink. Plus, chargers that served as kick-but menus.
The vendor talent was amazing. And, the couple is a married couple - the photo/video team of We Are the Mitchells. So, they knew how to pose and generally be so kick-ass. Can I give a huge shout out to this dream team of vendors? It is hard to believe that this is the first time I worked with Katie of Katie Nesbit Photography, Brandi of As You Wish Events and Kathy of Kathy Forrest Designs. Especially because I have since worked on many projects with Brandi and Kathy. Let me tell you, all of these ladies have major vision, and skill. They made the Zoo up to perfection.
Some of the other vendors, Kristina of Mad Hatter and Amanda of Bite Sized, I had kind of worked with before - they were involved in other shoots throughout the years. But, I got to meet them in person for this shoot. AND Amanda let us eat her delicious creations. And let me tell you, they were delicious. The HMUAs, are some of the best in the area: Stephanie of Flawless on Site and Leah of Blush Tones, I can't get over how skilled and hard working you two are.
I had a great time helping with set up and breakdown. And, I left knowing that it would turn out great. Evidently, Ruffled thought it was great too. Go check out the rest of the featue here!
