This styled shoot was so unbelievably heartfelt and wonderful to work on. I was able to help the photographer, Caitlin, and the planner, Adreinne, with ideas toward the beginning. And, when we had trouble finding a couple to model, my husband and I stepped up to do it! Usually a calligrapher is not that involved in styled shoots, so this was a special treat. It almost felt like acting, or writing a story. The couple, William and Eleanor (the husband's and my middle names!) are so different from Dakota and me.

We focused on honoring the heritage of love through multiple generations of a family as our "theme". It is definitely one for the sweet and sentimental couples. The color scheme made blush feel so elegant and romantic with the pops of rich berry tones. Every tiny detail came together so perfectly. The pieces of lace in glass are pieces of the wedding dresses of the couple's relatives. And, to honor those couples even more, I made a custom sign with the wedding dates of their parents and grandparents. Family heirloom serving dishes made excellent floral vases. And, a real family heirloom from the planner (her ring set has been passed down three generations!) made its way onto our bride's fingers.

That hair pin and the amazing styling magic that Stephanie worked on my hair were just jaw dropping. My hair and makeup have never been so fancy (Eleanor is a very fancy girl). It all coordinated so perfectly with the exquisite dress that we picked up from Pure English; its classic, graceful front neckline made the plunging back an elegant and pleasant surprise.

This shoot was a dream come true for so many of the vendors. I want to especially thank Caitlin for taking time to consider photograph wishes for the vendor team. I am so happy to share my favorite images with you, but it was hard to choose!
